History
Why A New Church?
Metropolitan Seattle is the second most unchurched urban community in the nation! The organization of the New Beginnings Christian Fellowship (NBCF) is an act of obedience to the commandment of God (Matthew 28:19-20) to increase Christian discipleship in a socio-cultural setting where faith development is not viewed as essential to private or communal life. We join hands with our local sister churches in the effort to bring the Kingdom of Christ nearer to an area that dares to call itself God’s country (though doing so only in reference to its breathtaking natural landscape)!
Ministry Philosophy
The New Beginnings Christian Fellowship believes that God’s grace toward sinners is the essential message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is this message that invites each of us to be reconciled unto God through the blood of Jesus Christ. It is this message that also invites the believer to allow the Spirit of God to impart new life into any and all areas of their life where they have experienced sin, brokenness, shame, degradation, bondage, alienation, or just plain underdevelopment. In short, grace is God’s standing invitation to each of us to start over (with Him) whenever and however we need to in the journey of life. GOD IS ALWAYS READY TO START OVER!
New Beginnings Christian Fellowship understands ministry as the work of the Church to encourage, cultivate and maintain those fresh starts in the lives of people who dare to believe God for a change. We (NBCF) are a Christ-centered ministry that addresses the needs of the total person through:
- Liberating worship and preaching
- Life transforming Christian Education
- Progressive ministry programs
- Social activism and community development
