The National Day of Prayer

WELCOME TO NBCF’s
NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

Praying for the needs of the Nation: safety, gun violence, homelessness, disaster relieve, unity, employment just to name a few. 

May 2, 2024 7 pm - 10 pm

As we close this time of meditation and prayer, I leave you with this prayer:
Lord God, we come to you in a time of chaos, uncertainty and death, a time of waiting and praying for healing, a time of longing for the world to be different. Our nation needs moral and spiritual renewal.
Find us in our uncertainty, meet us in our wilderness. Convict us, forgive us and equip us.
Fill the hearts of humankind with the fire of your love and with the desire to ensure justice for all.
We pray for an end to division, strife, and war.
For a dawning of a truly human society built on love and peace.
Open our hearts that we may be bold in finding the riches of inclusion and the treasures of diversity among us.
Grant us the grace to reflect on our own actions and inactions that contribute to the chaos
and grant us the strength and courage to take action when needed….help us to become brave
We pray this in faith, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

And now, May the Lord bless you and keep you, make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

May you go out into the wonder of God’s creations, seeking his presence and sharing hope with those you meet.
Be people of hope.
Be people of justice.
Be people of mercy.
