New Beginning Christian Fellowship, a progressive Baptist church in Kent, has an exciting new opportunity for a Church HR and Administrative Manager. Will work with the Senior Pastor, board, staff, and ministries to administer the business of the church and to help guide, direct and manage the critical functions. Will serve as a member of the senior leadership team to provide support and visioning. Will focus on human resources including recruitment, hiring, performance development and evaluation, training, benefits and salary administration, policy and procedure development, record keeping , and employee relations. Will manage administrative staff including accounting, facilities, media/communication services, security, and grounds keeping. Will facilitate annual planning budgeting process and oversee financial management and purchasing.
Qualifications: • 5+ years of supervisory experience in an administrative setting; prefer church administration experience • 2+ years human resources experience including knowledge of employment laws and human resources best practices • Experience with business office processes, including general accounting principles • Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred • Be in agreement with the church’s stated mission and goals • Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) • Reliable and efficient work ethic • Strong communication and active listening skills with wide range of stakeholders • Strong organizational skills • Attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in executing tasks for internal and external audiences • Proven customer service experience being welcoming, approachable, flexible, and maintaining professional composure while interacting with others • Demonstrated ability to work with the team and make decisions as a team member • Demonstrated skill in being cooperative, making compromises and successfully resolving issues with minimal direction
